Graduate Madison, a boutique hotel near the University of Wisconsin – Madison campus, has been completely renovated.
First floor renovations included the lobby and a new bar and restaurant area. The seventh floor guest suites were converted into a new restaurant, bar, kitchen and flex meeting space. New outdoor dining seating was added on a new sun deck roof terrace and the sidewalk. An addition added an elevator and egress stair serving the seventh floor plus back-of-house offices at the first floor. This project also included the interior renovation of the 72 guest rooms, and mechanical and electrical system upgrades.
The project has won two awards: a 2015 Projects of Distinction Silver Award for Commercial Buildings $2-10 million from the Wisconsin Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, and a 2016 Commercial Design Award for “Best New Development or Renovation – Hospitality” from In Business magazine.
