Argyle school is a K-12 public school that serves Argyle, Wisconsin and surrounding rural communities. This project includes 20,000 square feet of additions, 9,000 square feet of renovations and a new maintenance building of 4,000 square feet. New program space includes a technical education lab and computer classroom, a practice gymnasium, secure after-hours entrance lobby, storage for athletic equipment and uniforms, training room, athletic offices, referee changing rooms, and toilet rooms. Renovations include a weight and fitness room, accessible locker rooms, and upgraded high school science classroom.
The project also includes a new boiler system, reroofing the entire existing building and added insulation and envelope repairs to improve energy efficiency.
The site work on the project includes a new parking area, fire lane and truck access. Close consideration was taken to ensure new construction on site was beyond the 100-year flood elevation and areas zoned as a wetland. Due to unfavorable soil conditions, rammed aggregate geopiers were specified to provide a stable foundation for the new construction.
