The Village wanted to develop a new downtown municipal campus. Our team analyzed six sites, in addition to the existing municipal building and site. Stakeholder input included a future trends session, a listening session, eight online surveys, and a design workshop. Space needs programming for 5-, 10-, and 20-year futures were developed for every municipal department.
As a result of the space needs planning efforts, a consolidated site for recycling and public works became a high priority.
The building includes eight equipment bays, mechanics’ and wash bays, mezzanine, cold-storage bays, and an office wing for public works. In the future, the office wing will also house parks / recreation.
