Originally from Iceland, Bjorn has spent most of his life in the United States. He grew up in the Chicagoland area and graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago Circle with a bachelor’s in architecture. After working briefly in Chicago, Bjorn moved to New York City where he worked for many years doing affordable housing and rehabilitation work. Bjorn is now back in the Midwest helping to raise his two kids.
Bjorn is LEED AP BD+C and in his spare time studies Passivhaus design. Within the office Bjorn is often involved with the design of multi-family housing projects.
Outside of work Bjorn spends most of his time with his two kids playing games and of course doing a lot of laundry. He also enjoys driving around Madison discovering new parks, neighborhoods, and especially coffee shops.
