Jim is a principal with over 40 years of experience as a project architect and project manager in a variety of building types. He is multi licensed as an architect, landscape architect and interior designer, providing many skills that range from space needs analysis to conceptual design, technical, architectural and construction administration services.
Jim is a recognized and respected member of the architectural community, dedicating his time to many organizations. He was the Chair of the 2016 AIA Wisconsin Annual Convention, and has served for several years on the Architect’s Section of the state licensing board. He is also beginning a three-year term on the AIA Continuing Education Committee. Jim has served as president of AIA Wisconsin and was recognized with its gold medal.
Jim spends his weekends teaching Sustainable Design & Construction to middle schoolers through UW-Madison. He is also active in NAAB accreditation visits and has been assigned to teams ranging from Los Angeles to Bahrain and Dubai. His home life is focused on family, especially his two young granddaughters, reading (and more reading), and watching sports on TV. Go Pack!
